ACCESS TO DANCE is a union of different dance institutions based in Munich and pursues the aim of promoting contemporary dance in Munich and Bavaria in the long term.
It networks the segments of dance production and dance presentation as well as dance teaching and dance upgrading - that have so far always been considered separately - for the first time. The new integrative model combines dancing, school and university training, a separate series of performances and an Internet portal for dance in Bavaria. It aims to join together practice and theory, artistic creation and artistic reflection in order to create sustainable new structures for dance in Munich and Bavaria.
ACCESS TO DANCE is an initiative of “Tanzbasis e.V.” that is promoted by “Tanzplan Germany” – an initiative of The German Federal Cultural Foundation, the Departement of Arts and Culture in Munich and the Cultural Fund of Bavaria.
