DEJA DONNE was founded in 1997 by Lenka Flory (CZ) and Simone Sandroni (I), both former members of the Flemish company Ultima Vez. The multinational company derived its name from its first production. Since then DEJA DONNE has been touring Europe, America and Asia.
Lenka Flory danced with "Chambre Dance Studio" (CZ), "Czurda Tanztheater" (D), "Ultima Vez" and "ERNESTO" (BE). She founded the "Progressive European Dance Theatre Project" from which the "CONFRONTATIONS festival" that has been held every year in Prague since 2003 proceeded. Since 2005 Flory has been concentrating her work on projects with young people from various European Member States.
Simone Sandroni was a founding member of "Ultima Vez". From 1987 to 1992 he was an active member of the company. In 1993 he established his own company ERNESTO. Alongside his work with ERNESTO, Sandroni choreographed works for many festivals, independent artists and schools in Belgium, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Switzerland. In 1996, together with Flory, he founded the company DEJA DONNE that was based in Prague up to 2005 and since then in Perugia. Together with Flory he runs a centre for contemporary dance in Perugia.
