MY NAME IS KING
The project evolved from the need to separate the human spirit from the material world. MY NAME IS KING is a look at society, a comment on the fragility of normal people in a time without responsibility. At any moment these people can become martyrs, heroes or victims of themselves.
Just like vets examine the stools of sick animals to investigate the origins of their illness, DEJA DONNE examine waste tips in order to find the origin of the sickness that has affected the human spirit. They have collected, dismantled and segregated the elements occurring most frequently in these waste tips. Then they build up their findings again in a different setting, in a different light and a different sound, so that they are adapted to human needs.
MY NAME IS KING aims to show that it is still humans who create and change things, not things that create and change humans.
