Rosemary Butcher
In 1997, when Afghanistan was still under the yoke of the Taliban, the multi-prize-winning photographer Harriet Logan travelled to the country and encountered a group of women whose life he recorded in the remarkable series of photos "Voices Of Women In Afghanistan". Rosemary Butcher’s solo "Images Every Three Seconds" evolved by analogy with these photographs. The dance circles round a square of light. Light and motion are united in Charles Balfour’s unique light installation.
