Together with the Cultural Office of the State Capital City of Munich, JOINT ADVENTURES annually organizes TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA (TWE) with its performances, lectures, workshops and video art. Each year since 1991, TWE has been a very special two-week-long meeting place for dancers and choreographers from around the world.

The workshops are designed for contemporary dancers, choreographers, and enthusiastic amateurs. The workshop program with international instructors meets the current needs of dancers who work professionally on stage. The courses confront their participants with the latest trends in contemporary dance, as well as the marginal areas of other forms of theatre and training.

The festival program presents works by choreographers who occupy the cutting edge in the genres of contemporary dance, movement theatre, and performance art. Another important part of TWE’s interdisciplinary approach is to build bridges of understanding between dance and other forms of visual art, acting, musical theatre, and new forms of media art and event art.

The next TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA will take place in Munich from August 4-14, 2010
