Unique performance and dance from Norway
October 4 – 14, 2021
With the series depARTures, JOINT ADVENTURES presents every year as part of ACCESS TO DANCE and with the support of varying cultural institutes choreographic works that build bridges to other art forms and thus expand the possibilities of performance and dance.
With their choreographic approaches, the invited artists work at the interface with other disciplines and methodologies and with the body as a space for negotiating socio-political issues for a progressive artistic development in contemporary dance. In doing so, they represent very different and partly experimental approaches. This autumn you can discover unique performance and dance from Norway!
The invited guest performances is accompanied by a free discursive programme. After the performances, there are talks with the invited artists, theorists and the local scene to provide insights into the Norwegian dance scene and to deal with current socio-political issues in the context of an open society and forms of coexistence in the light of the performances.
The series depARTures – Unique Performance and Dance from Norway takes place in cooperation with the Norwegian Embassy Berlin and the Performing Arts Hub Norway (PAHN).
With the support of the Cultural Department of the City of Munich, the Bavarian State Association for Contemporary Dance (BLZT) with funds from the State of Bavaria and the District of Upper Bavaria.
