How do you break down the walls that life creates? To a soundtrack of experimental rock music, eight acrobatic dancers work their way up a huge vertical obstacle and push themselves to their physical limits. What if the six-meter-high wall divides the stage and the remaining space is too small for the eight? Is the wall an annoying obstacle or does it create new possibilities? Alexander Vantournhout‘s work virtuously turns our ideas of gravity, space and movement – and thus our potential as human beings – upside down.
