In the context of the symposium "Utopien des Zusammenlebens"
„Fugue Trampoline“ by Yoann Bourgeois has developed into one of the most emblematic circus acts of our time. The trampoline is used as a floor; falls and rising up repeat. They are transformed and varied as an endless physical motif. These shifts from stable to unstable states create a cyclical structuring of space and time. „La petite danse“ is a danced variation of the march motif; it is as deep as it is simple, dizzying as it is spectacular – and composed of simple, practically modest methods. Bourgeois‘ „Risikoästhetik“ refers back to the human original motifs of failure and rising again; in the process, it makes it possible to experience these fulminant patterns of movement.
