This class will consist of a guided improvisation based on kinesthetics, exploring the body’s possibilities in a constant dialogue between instinct and intellect. The workshop will start with mobilizing the spine, using different visualizations, and then go into the extremities, establishing different relationships between the parts of the body and playing within different structures and scores like isolation, leading points, different degrees of resistence in space, or speed.
Sandra danced with various companies such as the Polish Dance Theatre, Theater Vorpommern in Greifswald and Stralsund, Theater Dortmund, Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, Cullberg Ballet, Netherlands Dance Theatre I and Kidd Pivot. During this time, she worked with important choreographers such as Ralf Dörnen, Ed Wubbe, Johan Inger, Paul Lightfoot, Sol León, Mats Ek, Marina Mascarell, Jiri Kylián and Crystal Pite. Since 2010 she has also worked as a choreographer and lecturer.
The training is part of the Dance Academy Camp SOLID GROUND - CHALLENGING SPACE. Interested professional dancers and performers can take part in this course. The number of places is limited.
