TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA
From August 4 to 14, 2026, the Munich-based organizer JOINT ADVENTURES, in cooperation with the Department of Culture of the City of Munich, once again invites you to TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA, transforming Munich into a hotspot for the local and international dance scene. The program features a revival of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s / Rosa’s legendary postmodern choreography “Rosas danst Rosas,” five new international productions – including the two winners of the SEDA – Salavisa European Dance Awards – and a world premiere by the Munich-based company “ZINADA”. In addition, there will be discussion events, physical introductions, the OPEN STAGE for promising emerging choreographers, and high-caliber workshops that allow participants to delve even deeper into artistic questions and experiment with dance.
SEDA – Salavisa European Dance Award
The 5 finalists for the SEDA – Salavisa European Dance Award 2026 have been announced: Lukas Avendaño from Mexico, Chiara Bersani from Italy, Dan Daw from Australia, Mamela Nyamza from South Africa, and Jefta van Dinther from the Netherlands. Europe's most highly endowed dance price will be awarded for the second time in November.
TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA 2025
At a time when public discourse is becoming increasingly polarized and conflictual, the Munich organizer JOINT ADVENTURES, in cooperation with the Cultural Department of the City of Munich, once again invite you to TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA – a meeting place for all those who seek an artistic and creative exchange about contemporary dance and performance art and want to attend to questions about their lives and social coexistence. Seven current dance productions, the OPEN STAGE for promising young choreographers, workshops for all levels and stimulating discourse events will transform Munich into a hotspot for contemporary dance from August 5 to 15.
