> April 15, 2024 (2nd round)

It is now possible to apply for funding for guest performances taking place in 2024 and the first quarter of 2025. Please submit your application exclusively digitally via the application portal by 6 p.m. (CET) on the day of the deadline at the latest.

JOINT ADVENTURES – Walter Heun is responsible for the support models’ administration. This is where all applications must be sent on time via the digital application portal. The application portal is usually open until 18.00 H (CET) on the day of the deadline. Technical support for problems is available accordingly. If the application deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, the next working day shall be the application deadline.

The applications will be reviewed, if they meet all necessary requirements. A jury of experts makes the final decisions.

Companies/artists that reside or are located in Germany and whose dance production is invited to perform in a foreign country are eligible to apply.

The production that will be invited by the foreign programmer was mostly realized in Germany.

The guest performance must not have begun or been already completed before the jury makes its decision. The jury meets approximately 4 weeks after the application deadline (no legal entitlement).

The programmer provides a professional organizational and technical realization.

The fee that the international programmer pays to the company/artist does not lie below the minimum wages of the NATIONALES PERFORMANCE NETZ.

Analogous to the fees covered by the programmer, the company’s/artist’s artistic production fees are subsidized at 50%, if this sum doesn’t lie below the minimum wage of the NATIONALES PERFORMANCE NETZ. Other guest performance production costs the NATIONALES PERFORMANCE NETZ covers are dependent on the country the programmer belongs to:

Group A support level: Subsidy to the artistic production costs of the guest performance analogous to the part that the inviting programmer pays as guest performance fee

Group B support level: Subsidy to the artistic production costs of the guest performance analogous to the part that the inviting programmer pays as guest performance fee, 100% of the per diems and lodging costs

Group C support level: Subsidy to the artistic production costs of the guest performance analogous to the part that the inviting programmer pays as guest performance fee, 100% of the per diems and lodging costs, 50% of the travel and transport costs

Guest performances in the NPN International Guest Performance Fund for Dance’s context are subsidized at a different level according to the economic power, the status of public support for culture in the country where the guest performance will take place as well as the country’s vicinity or distance to the original state where the artistic production took place (Germany). The categorization into three different country groups regulates the respective levels of support. Criteria
for allocation

A five-member expert jury from the field of dance makes the subsidy decisions. The expected quality of the production and a national and international relevance of the company's/artist's work are important criteria for the jury's decisions.
