Join a movement revolution, join the emotional anarchy! This workshop is more than just movement. Inspired by the rebellious energy of the First British New Left of the 1950s and 1960s, we will break away from familiar patterns of thought and discover new types of practices, ‘direct action and democracy’ (Alan Lovell).

As Emotional Anarchists, we explore our complex emotional landscape, dancing between abstraction and realism in search of moving images. Emotional Anarchists kiss amidst tear gas and flying bricks. Emotional Anarchists tell stories of ascent and loss. They unite inner and outer chaos, and dance the sweat from their pores.

Emotions are perceived before they can be put into words. Body language and touch are the ultimate, universal tools of communication. This is precisely where the workshop begins and unfolds through intense physicality and theatricality. Look forward to improvisation, drills, partner work and choreography – accompanied by a carefully curated playlist that will catapult you into new worlds.

Chris-Pascal Englund Braun operates at the intersection of dance and drama.
