A workshop that brings body, movement, and voice into a lively dialogue: Berlin-based artist Leah Marojević invites participants to an open, practice-oriented exploration of improvisation. The workshop is open to professional dancers of different experience backgrounds and approaches improvisation as an interconnected, body-centered practice in which movement and voice interact.

The focuse is on exploring the voice and the question of how it can be inextricably linked to a moving, dancing body in order to discover and express fictions, facts, narratives, and emotions.

“Dancing Facts and Singing Fictions – VOICES” can be booked individually, but unfolds its full potential in combination with the second format “Dancing Facts and Singing Fictions – BODIES” (9.30 – 11.30 H), which delves deeper into the encounter with one’s own body and the bodies of the other participants.

Leah Marojević is an internationally active artist working in the fields of performance, choreography, dramaturgy, and teaching. Born in South London, she now lives in Berlin and, since 2014, has developed a multifaceted international practice through long-term collaborations with renowned artists such as Colette Sadler, Jefta van Dinther, Theo Clinkard, Ola Maciejewska, Liz Rosenfeld, Billy Bultheel, Megan Rooney, Ewa Dziarnowska, and Simone Aughterlony.

Her work includes both independent projects and commissioned works for institutions such as the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, Danza Contemporánea de Cuba, and the Candoco Dance Company. As a fellow of the Tanja Liedtke Foundation in 2026, she will also collaborate with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra to create a new experimental opera.
