Through OPEN STAGE, they have the opportunity to present their works to the audience of TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA. Lara Rabe “(A Creature’s Tale)”
Lara Rabe's work explores transfer effects and pictorial abstraction. A white cloth that fills the stage, beneath which she dances, becomes a projection surface for the audience.
Since 2024, Lara Rabe has been pursuing a degree in stage dance at DANSART TANZNETWORKS in Bielefeld. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2019, she completed a dance education program at TANZ ZENTRALE LEIPZIG, specializing in contemporary dance and choreography. In 2025, she appeared in several productions, including “HALT!” by Saskia Assohoto, “Short Stories” by Jean-Hugues Assohoto, and “ALL OF US,” featuring choreography by Tchekpo Dan Agbetou, Saskia Assohoto, Dhélé Agbetou, and Vincent Harisdo. Since 2024, she has been developing her own choreographic works. In 2026, she created her first solo piece, “(A Creature’s Tale).”
Mila Levy “VESSEL”
This dance piece by Mila Levy engages intensively with the body, exploring questions of presence, exertion, visibility, and concealment. From this exploration, she develops a personal and experimental movement language.
Mila Levy is a multidisciplinary artist and dancer from Tel Aviv. From 2023 to 2024, she was a member of TANZ_KASSEL in Germany; today she works as a freelance artist and collaborates with choreographers such as Bosmat Nossan, Noa Zuk, and Ohad Fishof, among others. In 2021, she received a fellowship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation. In addition, Levy works as a dramaturg and external collaborator on various artistic projects.
Magdalena Górnikiewicz “say it to the mountain”
"say it to the mountain" oscillates between quiet resistance and a relentless confrontation with anger and disappointment. What is initially pushed away eventually returns like an old friend – familiar and yet foreign, as if their shared history had been erased over time. The body becomes both morning mist and an inner battlefield, from which fragments of anger and tenderness emerge.
Magdalena Górnikiewicz is a performer and dance maker from Poland living Brussels. She began her professional dance education at Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich, Germany in 2019 and a year later she moved to Leeds to start the BA at NSCD. In 2021 she did an Erasmus+ exchange at UiS Fakultet for utøvende kunstfag in Stavanger, Norway where she worked with Yael Flexer & Nic Sandiland and Haine Avdal and choreographed ‘tame/d’ in collaboration with Vilma Kärkkäinen.
Tabea Jung “Project G2 or Post Traumatic Femtasy”
“Project G2 or Post Traumatic Femtasy” is an intimate duet about the visibility and redefinition of female pleasure after centuries of its suppression. The body becomes a tangible vessel of history and, at the same time, a site of resistance. Powerful, sensual, uninhibited, and exploratory, the work navigates the realms of female desire, patriarchal influences, shame, and pornographic narratives.
Tabea Jung is a choreographer and dancer from Essen. In 2025, she completed her bachelor’s degree in dance at the Folkwang University of the Arts. In collaboration with the fashion label SVEASØN, she developed MØLYBDØMANCY, a work that was recognized for its concept and presented as part of Berlin Fashion Week. Her choreography “Yuni”, created in collaboration with Shauna Fischer, was presented in 2025 as part of the Co-Lab at the Schrittmacherfestival in Aachen.
Eng Kai Er “Solo Badminton Show”
Stormy, loud, and uncompromising: In “Solo Badminton Show”, the aftermath of a toxic relationship with a badminton player becomes a performance that is as athletic as it is emotional. Objects fly across the room, and emotions are expressed boldly, directly, and without remorse. Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” meets the dynamism of badminton – an energetic interplay of music, movement, and emotional turmoil.
Kai Er Eng is a choreographer and performer from Singapore. In her home country, she received support from The Substation’s Directors Lab and served as an Associate Artist at TheatreWorks. As the founder of the experimental performance studio Make It Share It, she developed her own artistic formats and working methods. She subsequently pursued a master’s degree in choreography and performance at the Institute for Applied Theater Studies in Giessen. In her artistic work, she focuses in particular on sports, intimacy, and touch.
